Through the ‘Women, Water & Leadership’ projects described in the following chapters, we create the conditions and environment for women and girls to participate fully, and to develop sustainable, long-term solutions. Women and their communities gain better access to clean water and sanitation, and to improved food security. With the introduction of new technologies, and improvements in infrastructure, and with vocational skills and training such as sustainable farming techniques – we see confidence and competencies increase, and women are empowered to break the cycle of poverty.

SI President Sharon Fisher’s The Road to Equality President’s Appeal (2019 - 2021) – strategically focuses on taking Action and Advocating on topics affecting women and girls, including Child Marriage, Female Genital Mutilation, Domestic Violence, Rights of Older Women, Migration, and Human Trafficking, incorporating a mix of projects, alongside education, to build awareness and engage Soroptimists and friends through discussion, webinars, access to tools, facts and stories. In this way, each of us will raise our capacity to be a global voice for women on our journey towards achieving gender equality.

Every 2 years, since the decision of creation, all Soroptimists of the whole world join at SIFAF Conference to discuss workplan concerning the new Federation of Africa’s setting up.
