Trusted local champions carried prevention into the places women already gather.

The Narok South initiative paired Soroptimist leadership with the sub-county health team and grassroots partners. Rather than relying only on formal clinic messaging, trained community dialogue champions led weekly door-to-door and public awareness sessions.

The result is a stronger local prevention system: women reached earlier, high-risk cases referred faster, and young girls protected through HPV vaccination.

Community health in action The Narok South report shows how local dialogue champions, health teams, and Soroptimist partners worked together to move women from awareness into screening, referral, and follow-up care.
